Event Dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Motherland
A spiritual and educational event titled “Brave Men Guard the Motherland” was held at the department in honor of January 14 – the Day of Defenders of the Motherland.
The event was opened by the Head of the Department Nabieva D.A. Then the floor was given to Professor Rizamukhamedova M.Z., who emphasized that January 14 is celebrated as an important national holiday dedicated to the defenders who safeguard the sovereignty, territorial integrity, peace, and security of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was also noted that this date marks the establishment of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.
During the event, Associate Professor Khidayatova M.R. and assistants Ganiyeva N.A., Israilov A.A., and Tashpulatova M.M. delivered speeches highlighting the role and importance of the defenders of the Motherland in society.
The speakers also briefly discussed the history of the formation of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan. In particular, it was mentioned that on August 31, 1991, the Law “On the Foundations of State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted, granting the country the right to conduct its own military policy. Later, on December 29, 1993, January 14 was officially declared the Day of Defenders of the Motherland.
At the end of the event, the department staff congratulated all male employees on this holiday and wished them good health, peace, and success in their professional activities. Commemorative gifts were also presented to several employees.
